Pupil Premium (and Recovery Premium)
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is an additional grant allocated by the government to children from certain groups who are statistically likely to have additional barriers to learning and attainment. It is designed to reduce the impact of such barriers for these groups of children. Pupils are identified through the termly school census, and this information attracts additional funding as part of the school's budget. It is at the discretion of the school how this funding is used, but the school is expected to report on how it has spent this grant in the previous year, the impact of this spending, and how it intends to spend it in the current year.
Who is Eligible For The Pupil Premium Grant?
Pupils are eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant if they currently receive free school meals or have received them at any time since being at school.
